ok.. so this has happened twice.. and now im gunna vent about it. what is the policy on dogs at the track. i see alot of people bring thier dogs... and either keep them on a tight leash or tie em up at the truck. well again this sunday a kinda long hair golden retreiver looking dog was trying to get at my food. this time i was there and chased the dog off.... last time i wasnt to fast and the dog got my burger. no big deal but when you have no cash and only bring a certain amount of food... it is a big deal!!! after i chased the dog off.. it went from pit to pit smelling for food. does this dog get fed??? does it have an owner?? everytime i've seen it.... its just roaming around with no supervision. maybe the dog is very well mannered... maybe the dog doesnt need anyone around.... but thats 2 strikes towards me... i dont wanna see 3!!! there... ive vented and feel alittle better

Shawn, I think you could stand to loose a few pounds and should give you burgers to the dogs.
Just kidding that dog is Max and belongs to Jimmy Myrick.

No Jeff, If he would have said a coyote took my burger, than, that the dog that sleeps in the garage would probably be the culprit.

I know exactly which dog you're talking about... but I love that dog so I can't rat her out. Even the best of dogs steal food. My own dog is probably thinking of new ways to steal food from me right now.

i guess you guys are missing the point!!!! the dog was wondering around with no owner or leash.... thats why it was able to steal food!!!! does anyone get this??? or does the fact that ive got a gut and the topic has food throw you all off??? every dog at the track sunday was on a tight leash, but this dog. i even saw a muzzle on one dog. im not a big fan of the muzzle... but in a crowded place... its not a bad idea. so i guess i need to find out for my self... and here it is from the rule book.

Yeah I get it it's just tough cause I don't like the rule for all cases.  Like at 207 Eve runs around all the time (probably not on race days though) and I think it's really cool she stays out of trouble and socializes with everybody.  I get your point though it's like the bike rule.  My dogs are always leashed though just so you know!

I'd like to add a comment on what Shawn is saying...its not fair for some dogs to roam and others not...We've got a Black Lab (Magnum)that wouldn't hurt a fly but he is always on a leash or tied to our motorhome...at home he wanders around our yard untied and never goes or bothers anyone. A couple different times the aformentio
