Back in the old days, every farm had cows. Not everyone could afford a Bull. My Grandfather had Bulls. So you lent your Bull to your neighbor so his cows could breed. Cows only give milk when they are pregnant. My grandfather's job, when he was a little boy, was to walk the Bull to the neighbor's farm to breed the cows than back. Sometimes 10 miles away. This was an old road that was taken to do that, thus called BULL RUN.
Nice... thanks.. i knew someone would know the reason why :D

RE: Why is Bull Run called "Bull Run"??
RM25042 (5/18/2007)
i was just wondering if anyone knew.. i know the road in called bull run but is that why the track is... or did they name that road cuz of the track?? i mean i dont see any bulls running.. just powerlines and dirt scoots:D
Now this is what I understand.
