so its 7:45 on saturday night, raining, due i pack up the bike and gear to race on sunday or like d-rock said due we get a double weekend in october at valley? too me it doesnt really matter my foot is still injured from the last hemonds race and i fell out of the points race real fast for the fall series. well i wont load up weather it gets called off or not. ive had a fun season in 2008 i will be at the rest of the races for the fall season weather or not im racing . so 42 good job another good season for you and 445 some day i hope to be able to ride at your level, maby on a 4 stroke, but for now 2 strokes rule all be well c u soon

I don't know about you guys but if I take the day off from work and drive 2+ hrs up to Norridgewock only to have it canceled or 1 moto in a lake/swamp I'm gonna be a bit torqued off. Seriously, if it really is going to be a wash out we should consider a double weekend Oct 11 - 12...hell don't they rent that property anyway? Wouldn't it make a lot more sense to rent it on a day or 2 days when you are more likely to have a high turn out....my 2 cents...(which isn't really worth much)

if you think 2 to 3" of rain in a 6hr period is lucky, then you'll be right, cause thats what we're going to get in the skowhegan area on saturday night.

I just checked the weather and it looks like rain saturday night and sunday morning.
I hope they don't cancel the race.

NBC ch2/ch6 says 2 to 4" of rain and locally higher amounts near 5" possible starting saturday afternoon late into saturday eve/night. Another 3/4 to an 1" on sunday and ending by mid afternoon. For a tropical storm, that about an average rain amount: problem is its coming down in about an 8 to 12 hour period and its not going to go anywhere fast. expect alot of ponding and standing water. I was hoping it would go out to sea to the south of maine, but thats not likely right now.

friday 5:00 National Weather Service issued a floodwatch for saturday night and into sunday: 2-4" of rain with locally higher amounts exceeding 5".

Its coming in alright....

How about moving the date to saturday october 11 and run a double day on saturday and sunday?

i'm watching news 13 right now... and they keep saying.. "the coast" for this hurricane. i think skow-vegas area might be alright

too bad for Valley: they can't catch a break! It looks bad right now, BUT there's some High Pressure systems over the midwest moving in for thursday night and friday that might steer the tropical Hanna remminants far enough off the coast of massachusetts and miss Maine on Saturday night. Thursday night at 6pm and we'll know better when the new forecast comes out.

who's taking bets.... will valley be cancelled? the last part of hurricane hannah is coming thru and sat night is "supposed" to be heavy rains.... but thats the portland area. theres only one rain date left... we might be racing in novemba :w00t:
